PIM Sync Function for Sales Application

Does anyone use PIMSync function in Infor Epiphany sales application?
We want to enable the PIMSync account on all mailboxes in the exchange organization to prevent having to give that account mailbox access on a per user basis.
If anyone has done this, what permissions did they have to give to the pimsync account at the organizational level?
What are the risks of giving permission to the pimsync account at the organizational level?
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I cannot confirm at this point that there are no provisions for establishing connection to each mailbox on a per user basis – this I will explore and get back to you. I would think however that this has potential risk as the users password (most likely the same as their domain account) would need to be stored in order to gain access to the mailbox.
It may appear on the surface that having a single account could present a security risk, but I would assume much less than the above scenario. If you think about it, this arrangement probably exists if you’re using LDAP as there is a single account granted query permissions against the directory.
In the meantime, I’ll take a look at configuration and see if there there are any provisions for supporting such a scenario – although my first instinct is there is not.
